portrait great photographer

Hi there! I’m a portrait photographer specialising in families, children and newborns. I travel between Auckland, New Zealand and Brussels, Belgium, chasing the sun. We’re back in Belgium for a long (hot?) summer, returning again for the kiwi spring in late September. Thanks for stopping by and enjoy!

Close friends of one of my favourite clients (who have now moved to la plage, south of france, so jealous) have got married, yah. I was very honoured to be chosen as their photographer.

They are an amazing couple with a beautiful child, surrounded by gorgeous family and a ton of wonderful friends.
They seemed to be having the day of their lives. Food was Divine, flames coming out of the desert, slow dance turned into a flash mob as their friends suddenly joined in to a synchronised dance, and I left them as they partied on into the night.

Congratulations to you both x

ps: no babies were left dangling on the side of a pool at any time during this shoot! Her mum was hiding behind the pool holding on to her leg :)

Stephanie is a work colleague from many many many years ago I am so happy to have re-connected with. Her creativity in setting up (and baking for) this shoot has paid off tenfold. So much love and lots of laughter.

Friends for the Longest Time {Auckland Family Photographer}

June 3rd, 2011

I believe Bec is my second “longest” friend. She used to get into so much mischief at school. Well not really, but she did make us all laugh. We did get into a bit of mischief together once we were out of school though, tons of fun. It seems Greg and Rebecca have been together [...]

We did get into a bit of mischief together once we were out of school though, tons of fun. It seems Greg and Rebecca have been together forever, can always rely on them for a good party. Hmm, when is the next party guys?

See their Love {Belgian Family Photographer}

May 11th, 2011

Expecting their second child, I met this gorgeous family in Parc du Cinquantenaire on a beautiful Belgian spring evening. I’m so glad the whole family joined in for the maternity session. How beautiful is mama to be. Can’t wait to hear news of (and get my camera out for) their new baby!

An incredible experience just photographing the event. Teams of four walk 100km(!) through a very long day and what must have been an incredibly long night. We were all fortunate to have glorious weather – two beautiful sunrises (one not so sunny bit it was close to the finish line!) and one stunning sunset. The teams were fabulous, showing amazing willpower, stamina and bonding, all in incredibly good spirits. My feet were sore (bad footwear choice), my shooting finger ached (professional cameras are so heavy), my voice raw from cheering them on (maybe not raw but there was a lot of cheering), yet it was of course nothing compared to what the teams were experiening. The most amazing moments were at and near the finish lines. I had constant goosebumps as the teams came in, capturing their joy and sense of incredible achievement as they finally crossed the line. Tears threatened to roll numerous times while witnessing the emotion of the finishing teams and their support crew.

Amazing.
