We are so lucky. Belgian spring is treating us with beautiful warm weather. Sunshine, flowering trees, new clients and wonderful friends.

It’s been a surreal week as NZ copes with it’s first national disaster.

Surreal as we in Auckland watch in horror from afar through the media while otherwise living normal lives. Fills me with terror to think of an earthquake striking while my young child is across town at school, not in my protecting arms. Thinking of families whose children are missing; partners, parents, grandparents. Families waiting hoping broken hearted while the search continues for those still trapped.

It is unimaginable what they are experiencing, shocking scenes and terribly sad stories are filling our living rooms.

How can we help. The government has requested donations through the red cross and kiwi’s have started to flood trademe (nz ebay) with goods and services for sale, all proceeds donated to the relief fund.

You can buy a rock , bid on a beautiful cape code chair set (made by my very lovely uncle), bid to meet the Chemical Brothers next week and even a family session + all digital negatives with Amanda Reelick. Photographer!

National and
International donations are what the country needs to help a city that has lost so much.

Not long before Santa arrives, much excitement, every sound in the house at the moment is folllowed by a small voice shouting “I heard Santa!”.

Hopefully all sunny predictions come true so new outdoor Christmas toys can be enjoyed. If you have a spare Christmas Day moment, there is a scene from “The End of the Golden Weather” being performed at 10am on Takapuna beach. All donations are going to Oxfam.
